Straight Up

Behold the contrived but surprisingly fast (40 mph) elevator to the Burj Khalifa's observation deck...

But on that day, it was a little bit hazy up 'At The Top'. You could barely make-out the colors of Sheikh Zayed Road, for God's sake...



Yeah, it looks a little distorted because I selected the 'reduce shaking' option when I uploaded it. I suppose it provides a sharper view, however.

And 'At The Top' is something of a misnomer for the observation level, seeing as how there's about 40 more floors above that.

Back from the UAE

The new semester is going to start soon, and it may take a while for me to get back up to speed on things.

Dubai was... interesting, to say the least.
